The knight

The knight moves in an L: two squares one way, then one square to the side. Two and one, always.

It is the only piece that jumps: whatever stands between its start and its finish, it goes straight over. That is what makes it so useful when the board is crowded.

A knight changes square colour with every move. Watch one for long enough and you will see it turning.

Your turn

Develop the knight to f3.
